Some bands perform to satisfy an audience while others live, breathe and sweat their work with only a compromise: satisfy theirselfs. LASCIVOS exemplifies the latter position. They not only play an explosive, raw, primitive and swampy rock&roll, they conveys it with sincerity, class and fury. Their music and attitude are like their lifestyle and you can´t say it with most of nowadays rock&roll bands. Rut and Montse, the devil girls in the band, were exposed to the darker sides of Rock&Roll music and culture since they were a child so they soon became what she had previously only imitated. Lascivos grow in their heads and they started playing like juvenile delinquents. After some wrong line-ups, the band found the final gang with Rodrigo and Emilio and developing a little cult following and playing in some of the country´s most reputable music clubs, kicking audience´s ass with their amazing and dangerous live show. After a 7” with H-Records, Lascivos release their first full album right now. Not so much a tribute to the real rock&roll as it is the real thing, Casi Muerto Casi Vivo is an amazing exemple of an authentic rock&roll record that harks back to times of simple production values (they recorded and mixed in Bonhan Estudios) and raw energy. With lyrics concerning strong independence, insecurity, sex, bad feelings, danger... While this could easily come off as cliché in less true hands, Rut display too much credibility towards her material for that to happen.
